Hello Baby

A few nights ago we went out to Serrano's to celebrate the news of our baby girl. The girls ate Salsa so hot it made my eyes water, Maddie rocked out to the beat of the music, and I finally got this (Londie's) expression on camera. All too quickly we moved onto the next thing on our agenda...

A new girl means buying not one but two new beds so the girls can graduate from their crib/daybeds. We tracked down this little number, a green sleigh bed from Cindy Crawford's furniture line. I knew immediately it would match the twins' garden ballerina theme and colors, not to mention they can share it until they are ten. It arrived yesterday and we are really pleased. We thought we'd have all the equipment for a new baby, but some of it is twin-specific! It is time to set out and sell/trade in half of our baby equipment in exchange for a single of everything, stroller, etc. I have been so restless thinking about all of it.

I finally settled on a color schema for the baby's room, inspired by L & M's purses. I love the color combos here: cherry red+turquoise, lime green +pink. I am almost 100% certain I will paint Singleton's room a version of this blue and use these colors as accents. I am determined to help her find a style separate from the twins! Plus, London has been sporting so much pink these days I am starting to get a headache. Let the nesting begin.

I like the new bed and the color scheme for singleton! Good choice! L & M must have gotten Great Grandma Honey's asbestoses mouth ! She loves hot stuff, the hotter the better! This Grandma can not bear it very hot! Nesting is a very fun time...enjoy.

The new bed is really pretty; I like it a lot. It seems funny to have to decrease things insted of adding when you have a new baby. I also liked the colors for the new little one.

I need to get it into my mind that you are having a girl, I automatically think that because you are doing the exact same pregnancy as I just finished that you are going to have a boy.

I really like the bed. It looks so great in real life. I think that color is so cute. And as for the singleton color scheme, I am liking it a lot.
London is a crack up, what a great face.

Leslie! you are so on top of things! Those colors will be way cute and I LOVE hello Kitty. I feel really "unfortunate" now b/c I have not planned a thing. Actually, we don't even have a house to live in when we get our baby... no names... no stuff... our pour child- anyways, nice job for being such a planner!

I love those colors too. Target used to have a kids room line in those colors with flowers. Very cute. I did my sisters room in it and I love it.

love the bed, love the hello kitty colors and LOVE the funny face London pulled! I showed dad your blog on Father's day because everyone came over and he loved it--he still seems confused as to what a blog is...but we're taking steps in the right direction :)
