Sunset Oasis

Friday night Ryan took me to a restaurant called The Oasis. It sits right on Lake Austin and has a gorgeous view. (Note: the lady taking this did not count to three!)

Coming into the place, there were more cars than a WalMart parking lot, so we thought we'd starve to death waiting to get a table (one of my worst fears these days), but as you can see, there are plenty of tables ready to accommodate. We got right in.

Views from our table. The food was great and there was even a live band playing. It was nice to enjoy a meal without worrying about the girls jumping into the lake.

At sunset, there were tourists from all over snapping pictures. I told Ryan I felt like we were on vacation!

The pregnant sweat, ha ha. I used to be so proud of the fact that I never broke into a sweat, more of a glow, but since moving to Austin I am dripping. Nothing a little Amy's Ice Cream can't fix and since we were in the area, a trip to 1/2 Price Books. I don't know why but one of our favorite things to do is get lost in bookstores. I had a blast, maybe because it was the first time I'd talked to Ryan all week? He's spent this week getting ready to launch this website for his company while I've been at home trying to move Singleton off my sciatic nerve. Needless to say, we both needed the break!

You are in the right place to take a break, I do think that the view from the oasis is quite a beautiful thing.

I too love a good book store, and there is nothing quite like Amy's Ice Cream, I am totally drooling right now. I feel for you not being able to talk to the husband very much. I think that we might need to work out a system where they give us one night a week, no computers, no ichat, no basketball games. Sometimes I think that if we didn;t have any of those things we might not have anything to really talk about, but I am so glad that you have proven that theory wrong.

It looks like you had a lovely time, and I am so glad that you didn't have to wait for a table,I too hate that.
You are looking great. feel free to toss me some pointers, I know that I could use them. I am really excited to hear all about your Ulta appointment.

You look lovely! The sunset is gorgeous! What a fun date. I am glad you got to go out. I love 1/2 price books. It is one of my favorite places to go to in Austin. Brent & I have always thought it important to date as husband and wife. I am glad you are taking advantage of your live in babysitter.

That looks like a way awesome resturant! I'm excited that you are having a girl. I keep explaining to josh that girls are more versital... you can do tea parties, dolls, sports, fishing and all the guys stuff. You can't really have a boy that plays with dolls...
