Mothers, Inc.
I hope all of you mothers out there got as pampered as my right foot! :) We figured this year was a success as we finished out the day with no trips to the emergency room (Maddie's Mother's Day head injury, anyone?). Ryan and the girls surprised me with chocolate and a trip to the spa, a much needed break from all the grief little Singleton has given me lately. Yes, the morning sickness still continues! We've also felt very pampered to have Ryan's parents in town for a few days and a Mother's Day dinner. There is nothing quite so refreshing as having grandparents come to visit. I think we are close to being caught up on sleep! More adventures to be posted soon.
And a predicament. What is the difference between your kids stalling at bedtime, and being genuinely afraid of say, monsters? Honestly it has been a year since the girls have even watched Monster's Inc., and what's not to love about our friend Sully? But for these two little girls, monsters have caused a serious bout of insomnia. I keep reading about moms coming up with 'monster spray', which is essentially any substance kids can cloud their room in to keep the monsters away. Since Singleton has been hating potent smells, and tastes for that matter, we went with Fabreze. The girls loved it and even made up a little song about monsters, (Go home, don't bother us monsters!), but alas, the stalling continued. We resorted to what we always resort to after 9pm, threats. Maybe monster spray takes a few days to get the full effect. At least our entire apartment is now drenched in the fresh scent of meadows & rain; for that, we have only our neighborhood monsters to thank.

Oh what a clever idea. I had never heard of monster spray before, but it sure sounds like it smells good.
I must admit that I think that your girls have quite the talent for stalling. I don't know where kids come up with these things but it sure is cute, the first 2 times.
I am so glad that you were pampered for the day. what a treat that is. And honestly what parent doesn't love it when the grandparents come for a visit, it is a win win situation.
Hmm, sounds fresh! sounds like you had a great mother's day. Ryan is a pretty thoughtful husband.
I must say your little girls are very cute. I really like reading your blog so that I can see how you are all doing.
