The X Factor

We have ourselves another girl! We got to see her today, pulling on her ear, doing tricks and all the other things babies do to pass the time. I guess she has had to play several rounds of solitaire thus far, as there is no one to choreograph complex dance routines with....yet. L & M seem pretty excited. Here is a little snippet of our last conversation about it:

Me: "Would you girls like to have a baby at our house?"
Maddie (very decisively): "Yes."
Me: "Where would we get a baby from?"
Both girls at the same time: "From Grandma!" (London)
"From the store!" (Madelyn)
Me: "Did you know there is a baby in mommy's tummy?"
London lifts up my shirt and says, "I don't see it."
I explained to her the doctor will take the baby out when it gets big enough, and she lifts up my shirt again and says, "Almost ready!"
The girls proceeded to spend the last week telling us that they have babies in their tummies too. Apparently Londie's is a girl and Maddie's is a boy. Ah, they grow up so fast!

This is Becky on Ryan's login- I wonder why kids get the idea that they too have babies! It sounds like it was a funny conversation!

Congratulations! How exciting to have a girl! I love technology these days, you don't have to wait until the end to find out what you are having. Ryan KNEW he was pregnant when Becky was coming. We were worried about him he was so sure. I am glad you wrote down your conversation about being pregnant...that was precious!

Congrates on the new little bundle of love. I had no idea you all were pregnant. I'm so excited for you all. Another girl is always good. nothing quite like a live doll to play with. i think Maddy and London are going to be great big sisters and there will be two of them to protect the new little sis.

I needed to finish my thought. I didn't know that you were pregnant until last week when your father told me. I'm so excited for you. I wish I was pregnant again.

Well I guess that grandmas have many more uses than we once thought. I think that the name Grandma holds more power in this house than Dad!

I love that they are excited. And another girl is so great. You are already a professional at that, and you don't have to buy everything new to decorate with.

Now for the hard part, the name. The trickiest part of having kids in this house for sure.

We are so excited for you. Congrats.

I cannot wait to see L&M as big sisters! they will LOVE this new little girl to death! it really does make you wonder what kids do inside the belly to pass the time--maybe you should put headphones on your tummy like uncle jesse did for becky :)

This is great news, how exciting! While a boy may have been a fun change of pace, a little girl may be able to keep up with L&M a little easier without being overpowered by all the estrogen! :) We're so happy for you guys, yeah!

i had a 50/50 chance to guess right on the baby's gender. i chose boy. i chose wrong. that's embarrassing. so so so excited that you're having a baby girl. Sometimes i try to be like L&M and i tell people that there's a baby in my tummy. No one thinks it's cute though. (?) i don't understand. i love you les!

Go ahead and use Margret Rene' we're thinking of using Jack Ryan. Has a nice ring don't you think Jack Ryan Barlow, or maybe we will use Jack John Barlow. What do you think.
