Flashbacks

I am always baffled at how, of all the places to choose from, these two choose squished together. Time and time again this is how I find them, today in particular scrunched in a chair. Yes, we do have two of these chairs, but I guess it's more convenient to watch your morning program with your toothbrush and your sister handy.

This shot reminds me of the way they were curled up together in the womb; one kicking my heart and the other kicking my bladder. Even before they were born they had quiet moments like this, and always, always the not-so-quiet cat fights that continue to this day.

Speaking of toothbrushes, we had to upgrade to these lovely Hello Kitty models. It involved an incident last week when I came into the bathroom and both girls were dipping their toothbrushes in the toilet! They didn't even bat an eyelash at me, just said "We fishing mommy!" It occurred to me that they might have been simultaneously fishing AND brushing their teeth, but let's not go there! Before I could even think, I panicked and dumped the toothbrushes in the trash. I have been informed several times since that I could have spared the toothbrushes by boiling them. I guess I had always kept my fingers crossed I wouldn't have to learn firsthand the multiple mishaps that could lead to the boiling of a toothbrush!

That is so funny Jayden just dipped his train toothbrush in the toilet and looked at me and said oh momma I brush teeth. I picked it up and threw it straight in the trash too. I didn't think twice about it either. So similar is every toddler. How is the potty training, it looks okay since they are watching tv in panties. We miss you guys hope all is well. Any news on your house? I have seen a bunch of people look at it, and if anyone said anything to you we borrowed your garbage can last week, but it is back now. Sorry!

I remember one time when we were having one of our visits while you were on bed rest in the hospital, and all of a sudden there was a wrestling match going on in your stomach, I saw elbows flying and legs kicking. I was surprised that you were able to say on your back. I love that they have absolutely no personal space between them, I think that is so tender.

Now about the fishing with toothbrushes, forget the boiling, I would have gone straight for the trash as well. And then I would have felt the need to sterilize the whole bathroom.

They are so cute all tangled up together! 'fishing and brushing' is absolutely gross and even boiling them (which I have done, the bristles aren't ever the same texture again) would not remove the gross association. Becky didn't find out Liesel had put her tooth brush in the toilet until Becky went home, then it was to late to kill any body!
