We've Been Robbed! (Part 3)
My goodness were the weathermen correct about this storm. L & M timed several 'get these out of the house immediately' diapers in a row with the start of the storm. Start meaning what can only be described as part hailstorm/part micro-burst. Neighbors Christmas decorations flying everywhere! Naturally, I made Ryan take the trash out and he ended up with a scratch on his eye from the sharp hail. The weather quickly turned into what the news described as "snow thunder." I have never experienced anything like it! There was lightning and loud thunder, only it was fiercely snowing! Here we are watching the action safely from the window.

And later on... the shape we found our yard in. Yes, the snow thieves are at it for the third year in a row! I will never forget the first winter we moved here I looked out the window and said, "Hey, it snowed everywhere but our house." Yes, our yard was the only green lawn in the state of Utah that day. It wasn't hard to follow the footprints to the ginormous snow men, formations, and forts the next door neighbor kids had built.

Exhibit A, the igloo/snow dragon. I might as well enjoy it, it's our snow!

Take that! Ryan and I built a snowman using what snow we could salvage. For the head? A ball that one of our neighbors never bothered to retrieve from our yard...probably not the same neighbors, but still. And that is a little story about how we finished off our snow.

Wow! I have never heard of that kind of storm! That is really strange! I am glad you were able to salvage some snow of your own. Maybe a 'don't take my snow' sign??? maybe
I love it, yard-left-overs become a snowman's head! Boy I hadn't heard about your snow theives! At least you've got their tracks if you ever wanted to do some serious detective work!
I am glad that you were able to get in on the action before you were bare green. That is sick. Snow thieves? What will kids come up with next? I will say that is a mighty fine looking snowman. One of the best that I have seen in a long time. And the forgotten ball to top it all off, now that sounds like you had a good time. Love the igloo/snow dragon too. The festive times never end at your house.
Wasn't that storm crazy! Man Utah Weather can be weird. YOur snowman is very...unique. I like it!
