Evens and Odds
The year 2009 came in with a bang. Or a leak, gas to be exact. Two grand later, a thorough examination of my new Lester-mobile concluded she's not so much sick....

As terminally ill. Yes that's right folks this car needs a NEW ENGINE! Without one the prognosis is death, perhaps slow and painful but imminent. At least I hope it's slow, so far we've used it two out of the sixty months we will be paying for it.

I will be frowning about that for awhile...
Needing some cheering up, I know a few things do the trick every time. Namely:
Finding about twenty pictures like this on the camera, it appears London has tried her hand at photography.

Maddie, or is that a self-portrait?

The sink.
And about seventeen of these:

I wouldn't believe London had actually taken these pictures if I didn't see her little hand in the bottom. Right on, girl!

Baby Liv's smile sets my heart aflame, even larger than the heartburn she gave me in utero. Love these little bursts of happiness. Even though for Liv, 2009 has also brought RSV. Don't worry she is on the mend.

And Ryan called the other night to tell me about this gorgeous little hazy sunset. Now there is some cheering up.
And when the going gets tough, it turns out I am a scourer of households, a blaster of music, not to mention a shopper. I think we can get through this one. What else might this year bring?

I love to see Liv smiling! I can't believe the quality of London's pictures (some I do believe though, the sink, etc) Everything breaks...I'm sorry your car is on the short list!
so sad about your car. I hate it when stuff like that happens! when you'r in the moment sometimes it feels like your life is almost ruined! your baby is still darling. and I also just remembered (as i saw your canoeing photos) that one time my little sister told me that your brother was hott! ha ha.
LOVE that bag, for sure that would bring a smile to any girls face. I am so sad to hear about your car...I thought that for sure it would take you through to the next baby.
I think that you are going to be seeing some great things from Maddie and the camera, and what a fantastic thing that she can get baby Liv to smile like that, so darling.
You know that if you need, or maybe I should say want to get away or do some damage to the credit card I am always up for that, and we could leave the men at our place, at least you know that we don't care what the kids do to the walls and carpet here. And the Christmas decor is down so we should be good. Oh and we also live pretty close to the ER, and we have tested that one out so I think that should cover it.
Let me know if you need anything. You know that all we talk about here is London, Maddie, Leslie, and Uncle Ryan.
Les, I'm so sorry to hear about RSV at your home! We are just getting over that around here and it is taking FOREVER. Isaac had a rough go (luckily no hospital ths time!) but it didn't last too long with him, but we are on week three with Emilie. I think she's finally on the tail end.
London is quite the photographer! I'm always amazed to find the extra pics on my camera that isaac takes. :) Hope you guys are doing well!
Sorry about the car!
Liv's pictures are darling. Did the neighbors pick up their dog? Will you "Dog-for-a-Day" now sometimes?
