Perfect Day for a Canoe
While my parents were here, we decided we needed to show them some of Austin's best-that's right, canoeing at Zilker Park.
Jocelyn and Liv showed up to the event dressed alike. Heck, they could practically pass for twins! Which is not such a bad idea because Liv needs a sibling/friend for life. And the cutest picture I have ever seen of either one of them.
Somewhere along the trail London picked up a blue balloon animal, which popped about the same time we went under the bridge. Heather and I, not noticing part of the balloon was deflated, looked around to see who had SHOT at us! Noticing there were no gun-carrying civilians around, imagine our relief when we realized it was just the deflated balloon.
And two minutes off dry land Maddie comes up with an idea.
"Hey mom, why don't you get out of the canoe...."
"So that grandma can get in."
Meanwhile, the boys take a ride down more dangerous waters.
I love these shots Ryan got of the bridge at Zilker and downtown Austin.
As it turns out here in Austin, every day is a perfect day for a canoe.

It seems strange to me to not see any snow! I'll bet your family enjoyed the snow/ice free time there!
Ha ha! Thinking someone shot at you- you must really be Texans now.
Ah I love these pictures!! They are worthy of my scrapbook. I loved that day so much. Even when I thought we were shot at I was loving life just being with you and the girls.
HAH! I can picture the expression on both of your faces so clearly when you two thought you'd been shot at! Wish we could have been there it looked like so much fun!! Liv is adorable--make sure you show her pictures of me & spence so she knows who we are!
How fun!! It looks like it was a great day for you to take to the lake. I am glad to see that the girls didn't try to go for a swim, I am sure that we would have had that problem.
I think that is funny that the girls excused you from your own boat so that your mom could get in. So typical.
Those are some great pictures you got at the park. Looks like you are right any day is a good day for a canoe ride.
How beautiful! We really need to come down and visit you guys one of these days. Little Liv is sure getting big! Love your Christmas pics too, very cute!
Ziler Park is such a fun place and it look like you had a great time. It's so nice your family could be with you.
