Thance Given

I recently found a card that I wrote to my dad around age seven. Along with a little hand drawn turkey, here is what I wrote: ''To Dad: Happy Thance Given!' I am glad my dad always taught me to be thankful this time of year and not skip immediately to Christmas. It is often easy to be blinded by the consumerism that comes with Christmas and forget to take time to count our blessings. On that note, what a perfect season for L & M to practice their dinnertime and bedtime prayers. Here are some of the things they will not let rest until listed. (If it's not you it doesn't mean they're not thankful for you okay?!)

Papa

Zoe

Bronco

"T-Bone" (We think it's because calling him by his nickname makes them feel part of an exclusive club).

Who is T-bone? This only T-bone we know is the small yellow dog on Clifford.

I am with Jen, When i read T-Bone I totally went right to Clifford. Well I think that it is great that they are thankful for the dogs, too often they are left out of the regular prayers. I am happy to hear that some of them are remembered.

T-bone lives across the street and in L & M's eyes has reached celebrity status. But he also does look a lot like Uncle Rico from Napoleon, and Clifford, well, now we know where Ryan got the nickname from. :)
