You Might Be a Redneck If...

You spent last Saturday at the Davis County Fair! So initially I was the only one gung-ho about this one (free petting zoo, come on Barlows!) but the rest of the family warmed up to the idea about the time we saw these ponies.

My photography skills did not capture the gleeful joy the girls had driving cars in the hay maze.

And touching a goat! (Emphasis on touching. We made the "one finger" rule after the kitties.) Not to mention, the entire family of pot-bellied pigs in the background.

Maddie hugged this goat when she thought nobody was watching. These animals must have been sedated because there were so many kids poking them in the eye with no reaction. I figured a little bear hug wouldn't hurt.

And lastly, London and her Daddy with the llama, or, as London called it, a "mama" (thanks a lot!). The llama moved just about the time Maddie was hugging the goat, but I still thought this shot was cute.

That looks so fun! I am glad you are doing such creative, fun things as a family. The cars look like a hoot! I want to ride in one!
Love,
Syl

Now that is what I call a good time. Outdoors with the kids, free harmless animals to touch, and a ride in a car toy that is not yours. It sounds too good to be true. I do love the photo of them poking the goats, that is so funny. I guess that your talk with them after the kitty's was quite effective. You will have to let me in on how you get through to them so well. I am sorry that you had to be called a llama, it is a tough burden to bear, I have dealt with that name for a long time. I feel better knowing that you know of my sufferings. I think that you take great photos, I would like to see a true professional capture the fleeting looks that Gwen gives. But a giant gold star to you for all the little special moments that you do get. I can't wait to see you and the girls tomorrow.
