Santa is Scary!

I had been looking forward to taking the girls to see Santa at the mall ever since before Thanksgiving when the lines were a mile long even then. Well, yesterday we happened to be at the mall and noticed--no line! So we let London and Madelyn walk through the waiting area by themselves. They seemed excited, doing their usual dancing and hopping and singing, then we got to Santa. We started to put them in Santa's lap and they both started screaming bloody murder! Real tears and all, which is the giveaway. Well, we thought we could at least slip away for a second for the photographer to snap a shot, but Maddie arched her back and tried to make an escape. All the while both girls crying like the world is coming to an end. To make a long story short, this is how mom ended up in the picture and why, well, nobody was smiling.

Les I wanted to take Gwen to see Santa as well, however considering that she has been on sstrabger alert since we got here I don't think that will be happening.'
What do you mean scary? Some overweight man, dressed in bright red, outlined in white, using gloves to cover up finger prints, gives children he doesn't know candy just to get them on his lap...yeah...I guess that's pretty messed up. Now I'm scared.
Hey Les, tonight I was in the mall by our house and there was a line for santa that was at least an hour long. As I walked by it with Gwen in the stroller I was chuckeling to myself thinking of what could happen if I were to actually make it to even see santa. I was very glad that you shared your little adventure with me so that I left the mall calm and collected, and without a bad experience with santa thus far.
