Eskimo Girls

As most of us know, L & M always try to stay on the cutting edge of fashion. This year's faux fur trend is no exception. Here our girls model their new coats, just in time for the first snowfall! (Yes, Maddie is eating hers!)

Londie is ready to test hers out in freezing temperatures...

After a long day of shopping, Madelyn settles in for a little winter's nap.

And wakes up happy? Where did this girl come from?

Maybe someone told her that Santa 'knows when you're awake...he knows if you've been bad or good so be good for goodness sake!'

Lazy Sunday

We finally found the girls some cute jeans and they just happened to be almost the same color as mine! This calls for matching day! Here is how the girls and I lounged around the house yesterday while Dad was at church meetings... (Yes, sadly I do sometimes co-ordinate my outfits with my girls.)

Beautiful Girls

I just love the girls in these little shirts from Auntie Alice. I even found matching sweaters on sale at Target! I think the color really brings out their eyes! And even though the girls were cranky from teething and had also had their first encounter with juice boxes, I had to snap a few shots. (London is the top three and Maddie is the bottom two.)

A Masterpiece

Things to never say while cutting your husband's hair:
"Oh, I didn't mean to do THAT!"
"I can't remember how I did this last time."
"This part sure turned out shorter than the rest."
"Are you sure you didn't want a mullet?"
"Oops!"

After all the drama, Ryan's hair still turned out okay, even though I was going for the Andre Kirilenko from the Utah Jazz look, in light of their recent wins. Even though Andre has the co-ordination of a fork, we met him once and he was really nice. I guess we'll have to try again next time.

Suckers!

What better way to kick off the holiday season than with flu shots? L & M were so good; they didn't really even cry! Of course they were offered candy by almost everyone in the office, and I went with Airheads and suckers. Like all of L & M's Halloween candy, the Airheads mysteriously disappeared, but they did get to enjoy these suckers on the drive home.

This gives a good idea of what their car seats look like!

Pass the Peas, Please

An interesting phenomenon is now taking place during meals. Maddie is not taking food from London's tray, but pawning off what she doesn't want. What a thoughtful little sister.

London pauses to wonder why she has several more hot dogs on her tray...

And Madelyn lays low behind her new sippie cup.

Back again, Madelyn retrieves the cherries."Oh wait, I might have wanted some of those!"

The look on Londie's face says it all. "Typical, typical."

Thanksgiving Girls

L & M get ready for a stroll in the park in their new sweater dresses.

This is the best friend pose!

And another sweet sister pose. I love this one because it looks like they're holding hands!

Procrastination is in the air for the Barlows...Back by popular demand, another photo shoot from Kiddie Kandids. Yes, we initially set out to do this every couple of months, but this is only the first time since the pictures in blessing dresses when the girls were a couple of months old. What we hadn't realized is that taking professional pictures is an all-day ordeal with at least 2 days of preparation! In the end, we were really pleased with the way these pictures turned out (my plug for Kiddie Kandids) and have vowed not to wait another year before we have another round!
For more pictures, come visit us at home. Hopefully we'll have them framed by then.

Tractor Days

Well well well, look what we have here! Our little girls having themselves a ride on Uncle Spencer's tractor! L & M definitely did not get bored during their parents' road trip to Texas. A special thanks to Uncle Spencer for being kind enough to share his toy with our two little adventure seekers! And thank you Auntie Alice for capturing it on film because we couldn't wait to see it!

Sweet Tooths

So here it is, almost 2 days after the fact, and I can't get the pictures of Halloween night to post. Ah, well, most of us have skipped straight to Christmas mode anyway. For those of you interested, just picture the previous post plus sweatpants and big thick sweaters underneath and we had ourselves the chubbiest bugs ever. But I did get these pictures on of L & M enjoying their stash. It looked like they had won the lottery! They were even feeding each other yogurt bites! The funny part was, they didn't even notice they were touching, which is something they throw a fit about during Sesame Street. Which goes to show that when it comes to candy, everybody makes special exceptions.
