Nerd Bombers

Imagine my surprise when this little one informed me she and Maddie are starting a punk rock band! Who am I kidding here, what they've really started is a comic book chess computer club. Now who could have planted that idea into their heads while they are sleeping at night? (Perhaps the same person who reads them Star Wars books for bedtime stories...) As you can see, some of this family has come to terms with our nerd-like tendancies. And they were having so much fun I just had to join them.

These feel funny, mom.

London gets dramatic. "Take me to your leader..."

These glasses are ALMOST as big as the Smurf ones I wore at age 2.

A Crime Scene

The following is what happened while I was trying to get pictures of the girls' new outfits. I looked back at the footage, put the story together, and laughed.

Caught in the act! It appears Maddie has stolen London's favorite toy: the cell phone.

Baffled, London launches an investigation.

Maddie lays low in front of her best cover: Sesame Street!

It worked! London appears to be distracted.

Not so fast. We have a confrontation.

Give it back! Don't make me tell mom!

Look, I just wanted to borrow it!

The next few scenes were not caught on camera, but just know they resemble Wrestle Mania (see: previous postings). However, the issue was resolved with one great big nap and we have our smiling girls back. All in a day's work!

Fashionistas

I admit one of my favorite things about being a mother of twins is dressing them! Here are our little fashion divas to show off what's in style for fall. We think our grandmas went shopping together because all the new fall clothes they gave us are mix and match!

London is hip in Minnie Mouse pants and a matching top.

As you can see, not only is this outfit cute but very comfortable!

Strike a pose! This girl's a natural!

Maddie prefers a more casual look in her little green cords. Here she warms up her hands to give us a piano concert.

Even though there are only four keys (and one is out of tune!), this girl can jam!

I love these little lady bug socks. A must-have fashion accessory for any toddler. London likes to look at the little faces while she walks!

Snuggle Bugs

Yesterday was cold and rainy, perfect for our new sweaters from Disneyworld! Grandma brought the girls pink princess sweaters as a souvenir and the girls love them!

Who could resist snuggling with these little girls and their soft new pajamas? We let them stay up extra late just so we could.

I especially loved the feet on London's! She made sure to take these little puppies for a walk!

The Gift of Gab

These girls love to talk! Even funnier is how closely they observe their parents! We had no idea they knew how to use cell phones! Lucky for us, we have a few old cell phones lying around for London and Madelyn to continue their business.

As you can see, she is really talking! A whole string of baby babble.

Can you hold on? I have another call....

Must be from Madelyn!

Madelyn prefers to use hers as a walkie-talkie.

Who taught this girl to text message?!

Some privacy, mom?

Telenovelas

So yesterday I was talking to the twins' grandma on the phone. Maddie must have been extremely impatient for the conversation to end because she went over and turned on the tv! A first for us! What is it she decided to watch? The Spanish channel! And yes, she is now up to date on Spanish soaps. Inches from the screen, I know. We all got a good laugh out of that one!

Doublemint Twins

Okay, everyone stand up and put your right hand in your mouth...Oh, wait! They did this on their own. Ryan was able to capture a few shots of our little doublemint twins before church. They certainly know how to pose! Aren't these dresses darling?

Lowe Commotion!

Saturday I attended the conference on Motherhood in SLC. It was fun and uplifting; not to mention, the Lowe family I grew up with performed! It was an amazing performance and fun to get caught up and wish a happy birthday to this friend, Kami.

A few Beehives...

L-R Morgan, Misty, Camrie

Jordan, Camrie

As many of you know, I have been called to serve as the new Beehive Advisor. Lucky for us, the Beehives are always willing to pose for a picture! Here we are at the ice skating rink, last Wednesday night.

London is Walking!

This little one surprised us all on Labor Day when suddenly-she started walking without the help of two fingers! We knew she was close! She has improved dramatically every day since then and can now circle her favorite wall -twice- by herself!
A special thanks to all 56 of you she has recruited at some time or another to help practice!

I just love the look on her face when she's coming at you. She is all smiles!

Look at me, mom! It helps that you pulled up my pants!

Here she prepares herself for yet another lap around the wall...

And she's off!

Labor Day

L & M were able to spend Labor Day weekend with both sets of grandparents! Life is tough! Here are just a few of the ways L & M entertained themselves...

Maddie shows Grandma and Grandpa Barlow how she can ride 'em cowgirl!

Maddie has also picked up some dance skills since seeing her Grandma last!

Maddie was even able to squeeze in some 'patty cake' with Grandpa Barlow!

The girls also discovered this little bundle of joy!

London got kissed smack dab on the lips, but didn't seem to mind!

Grandma and Grandpa Davis were equipped with plenty of food for our growing girls.

Good thing I have two bottom teeth for biting!

The highlight of the entire weekend: London surprised us by learning to walk! Can you believe it? Just in time to show the whole proud extended family! Way to go, London! (More on this later...)
